Meet the 'Fuma Twin-Tower' heat sink that has people talking

Scythe's new Fuma Twin Tower heat sink has people talking, could this mark a resurgence of air cooling?

This style of cooler has been around for a while, but not always in the limelight. Could this resurgence be the thing that air cooling needs to win back the market over water, or is it just another crazy product that is designed to market the company in which manufactures it? Either way, it looks interesting.

Scythe has just pushed out a press release announcing the Fuma Twin-Tower CPU cooler, measuring in at 149mm tall and bundled with two 120mm PWM fans. If two isn't enough, there's also an option to throw a third fan into the mix for extra cooling power. Your CPU is cooled thanks to six copper heat pipes with a 6mm diameter, connected directly to a solid copper base plate for optimal heat transfer - with all of this has being nickel-plated.

Available right now for around $41.59, this kit will fit most Intel and AMD sockets ranging from FM2+ to LGA 1151 and 2011.

Don't get us wrong, this style of design isn't abnormal, but for some reason this model is generating quite a lot of chatter.
