- ABit Takes uGuru a step further
Today ABIT launched their uGuru panel which is designed to fit neatly into a vacant 5.25" bay at the front of your case. The unit extends upon the usual uGuru feature-set offering a whole stack of useful features and abilities. This thing can not only monitor your incoming e-mails etc. as you game away, but allows you to overclock on the fly, reset your CMOS, and monitor CPU speed/temps/current time/etc. with the addition of a 6cm x 3.4cm LCD screen. However, compatible motherboards are limited to the ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 and AN8 SLI at this point in time. Full details reside within ABIT's official PR folks.

A feature rich device designed to give gamers rapid and unrestricted access to all the features they are ever likely to require during the heat of battle. Everything from hardware monitoring to overclocking can be controlled through this module without the need to enter the main screen. There’s even an option to clear the CMOS memory should the need arise.
The Guru Panel is much more than a multimedia device, it’s a gamer’s best friend. While immersed in their favourite game, the Guru Panel is hard at work monitoring hardware, looking out for new emails, generally ensuring gamers stay up to date with what’s going on around them.
- NVIDIA reports record revenue for first quarter of fiscal year 2006
Having ended May 1st, NVIDIA have just reported their financial results for Q1 of fiscal year 2006, and not surprisingly with much satisfaction as they highlight their record revenue increase to be 24% higher than it was this time last year. Further details over in the NV press room.
SANTA CLARA, CA – May 12, 2005 – NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today reported financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2006 ended May 1, 2005.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2006, revenue increased to a record $583.8 million, compared to $471.9 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2005, an increase of 24 percent. Net income for the first quarter of fiscal 2006 was $64.4 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, compared to net income of $21.3 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2005.
“We have solidly returned our company to growth,” stated Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO of NVIDIA. “We now have four exciting growth businesses – GPU, MCP, wireless media processor, and consumer electronics. In addition, our gross margin initiatives continue to deliver results ahead of schedule. Our efforts over the past two years have put us back in growth mode and have positioned us squarely at the center of the digital media revolution.”
