The Xbox One controller has been compatible with all recent versions of Windows for awhile now, but you needed a micro USB cable to connect. That's no longer the case soon, when you'll be able to purchase the new Xbox One Wireless Adapater, which boasts Windows 10 compatibility.
Those who used the Xbox 360 wireless adapter with Windows know how this goes: simply plug it into a USB port, hit the Xbox button on your controller, and away you go.
This is great news for PC gamers who want to game from the couch, and for Xbox One owners who want to stream their console games to a Windows 10 device (yep, that's an option).
The adapter will cost you $25 and launches October 20.
