Having revealed their first UltraHD Blu-ray player at this year's CES, Panasonic has beaten all other consumer electronics companies to the punch, announcing they'll be the first to launch a player as soon as next month.

According to PC World, the DMR-UBZ1 will release in Japan on November 15 and will sell for an eye-watering 400,000 yen ($3334 USD). The unit will also come equipped with a 3TB HDD for recording TV broadcasts. Unfortunately, the player probably won't have any true 4K discs until early next year when Fox release their first batch, but for cinema freaks that need the latest and greatest - you better hop on a plane.
