- First Ever Sound Blaster with Video Editing Capabilities

Creative have just taken their sound blaster product lineup a notch further as they introduce the new "USB Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Video Editor", the first Sound Blaster solution to also allow for video input/editing by utilization of the award-winning LSI LogicR DoMiNoFXT technology. By means of USB connectivity, this also makes it easier for users on the go to connect the device to either a desktop or notebook PC for all their video editing/audio processing needs.

 

Availability is reported to be sometime in May with a (tad pricey) RRP of $499.95 AUD.

- New VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers released

 

For all of you peeps with a VIA based motherboard under the hood, VIAArena have just given us the heads up on a new Hyperion 4in1 chipset driver package which brings the revision up to 4.56v. As per the below comments, this isn't a major release so dont bother updating unless you already have issues with older drivers or you're wiping the slate clean with a fresh install.

The new version 4.56v updates the AGP driver to version 4.43f. The new AGP driver simply includes new IDs for new VIA host bridges. So this driver update is not really very exciting to be honest. In fact there isn't really any reason why you would need to update your system with them. If it ain't broke don't fix it. But if you are building a PC or you haven't updated in a while then these latest ones are the ones you should use.
