- OCZ Announces PC-3200 Gold Series with 2-2-2 Timings

Now here's some exciting news for those of you who remember the dominating overclocking goodness BH-5 memory gave us back in the day (and continues to do so as long as you're lucky enough to find some seeing as it's been off the production run for quite some time). OCZ fire up a PR today announcing their new Gold series PC-3200 memory which uses chips built on an identical process to that of Winbond's BH-5. It will be interesting to see just how well these new modules fair to that of previous BH-5 in the overclocking department. Full details in OCZ's official PR over here, and the product page which is located here.

"OCZ is pleased to continue the legendary performance achieved by the Winbond BH-5 memory components by acquiring chips manufactured on the identical process," said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "The new Gold Series was designed specifically with the gaming community in mind; low latency reaction times require low latency memory for the most lethal encounters."

OCZ PC-3200 products are 100% hand-tested to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards. In addition, each member of the OCZ Gold PC-3200 family is encased in a sleek, gold mirrored copper heatspreader for efficient heat dissipation and is backed by toll-free technical support, the exclusive EVPĀ® (Extended Voltage Protection) coverage and an industry-leading lifetime warranty for hassle-free piece of mind.

- BFG announces 512MB GeForce 6800 Ultra OC

BFGTechnologies have just unleashed a new monster to lead the pack amongst their OC video card line. Based on NVIDIA's flagship 6800Ultra GPU, the card sports 512mb of video memory, and naturally being a part of BFG's "OC" lineup, gives you a nice little 25mhz core speed boost out of the box. There's also a nice bundle of goodies accompanying the card, as detailed in the official PR folks.

The BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra OCTM 512MB PCI Express graphics card provides faster frame rates at higher resolutions and color depths, and twice the memory for geometry data and texture processing than does its 256MB predecessor. This card is overclocked out-of-the-box (core clock speed is 425MHz vs. 400MHz standard) for extra speed and performance, and is fully supported by BFG Tech's Lifetime Warranty and 24/7 Free Technical Support. This top-of-the-line card also features NVIDIA SLI technology to deliver an ultimate gaming supercomputer for the extreme gamer.
