Laptop PowerNow! Patch Available

Those of you with AMD processors in your laptops may have noticed a decrease in laptop battery performance ever since installing Windows XP. that's because the release version of XP didn't include support for AMD's PowerNow! technology, which allows the CPU's settings to be automatically changed according to the task at hand, allowing for power usage to be at it's most efficient.

 

Microsoft have fixed this problem with a patch.
