- Cooling down your video card

The fellas over at VIA Arena have been recently experimenting with methods to keep a modern day video card running nice and cool. Aside from the design of the heatsink and fan on the card itself, air flow surrounding the card is imperative to optimal temps. If you take a lookie at VIA Arena's straight forward and easy to follow guide, you'll be one step further to cooler operating temps and more overclocking headroom to boot.

Newer video cards are running a lot hotter than their predecessors. I didn't want to have the side off the cases all the time. Apart from aesthetic reasons, it's dangerous if you have kids around (little fingers and CPU fans don't mix) and it can also make the inside of the PC very dusty.

The best way to resolve the issue is to provide direct airflow to the video card from outside of the case, commonly called a blow hole.
