GIGABYTE have extended upon their aesthetically enriched Neon Cooler series of processor heatsinks today, announcing the Neon Cooler 775 and Neon Cooler 8 series which are suited to LGA775 and Athlon64 platforms respectively. Each cooler comes in two flavours, with a Pro version coming with a fan controller unit to adjust speeds on the fly. The full scoop in GIGABYTE's press release folks.
Taipei, Taiwan - 18th February, 2005 - GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY presents the new Neon Cooler 775 and Neon Cooler 8 Series of CPU fansinks that target discerning PC gamers who are looking for exciting visual effects combined with maximum thermal dissipation and quiet operation under extreme conditions. The new coolers build on the extensive feature set of the GIGABYTE Neon Cooler 7 series and introduce support for AMD-based Socket 939 systems from the Neon Cooler 8 Series and Intel-based LGA 775 systems from the Neon Cooler 775 Series.
- ASUS Motherboards Provide Complete Driver Support for 64-bit High-speed Computing
ASUS bring 64bit computing from Intel one step closer today with the release of their P5 motherboard series which features complete driver support for the next-generation 64-bit computing architecture. The board is designed with full compatibility in line with Intel's 600 series CPU that incorporates EM64T (Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology) and EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® technology) power saving technologies. Of course, the board supports standard 32bit extensions as well, making it more flexible in terms of an upgrade path. All the details in the ASUS PR here.
Complete driver support for 64-bit computing 64-bit drivers are critical for the transition from 32-bit to 64-bit architectures and ASUS is the first to provide complete 64-bit driver support. For the ASUS P5 motherboard series, the 64-bit drivers are available for download from the company website: http://www.asus.com as well as in the motherboard support CD.
All of the ASUS P5 Series is Intel EM64T ready, meaning the 600 series CPU of the P5 motherboard is able to run new 64-bit code and access larger amounts of memory. The P5 Series offer high-quality video and audio performance as well as 3D rendering for excellent digital media entertainment. In addition, the P5 remains fully compatible with existing 32-bit applications and operating systems running in legacy mode.
