- NVIDIA nForce Professional for HP Workstations

A couple more announcements were made by NVIDIA today alongside the launch of their GeForce Go 6600 GPU's for notebooks. First up, they announce their latest nForce Professional 2200 and 2050 MCPs to be implemented on HP's new top of the line xw9300 workstation, also including SLI technology for future expandibility and some lovely dual Quadro FX action. SINGAPORE - FEBRUARY 15, 2005 - NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced that its latest professional core-logic and graphics solutions will be integrated into the new HP xw9300 Workstation as HP's top-of-the line workstation for performance and expandability. The workstation features the NVIDIA nForce Professional 2200 and 2050 media and communications processors (MCPs) and introduces NVIDIA® scalable link interface (SLI) technology, which harnesses the combined power of two NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics boards in one system, to the professional market.

This takes multimedia functionalities on mobile devices to the next level with finely tuned 3D graphics capabilities, multi-megapixel still imaging, and high-quality video capture and playback.
