North American eSports team 'Renegades' invests in an underdog Aussie CS:GO team, DreamHack expands of Germany and North America and now ESWC has announced in a recent press release that it will be bringing top level eSports to Canada - it seems global expansion is the new trend in eSports right now.

With $75,000 on the line in a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition, this event will be held on July 9-12 at the Société des Arts Technologiques. Live streaming is said to take place in multiple languages and those interested in spectating live should head here for tickets - over 18 years old only.

This event is in partnership with ROCCAT, an often-respected European brand and this might mark a major push into the American and Canadian market by the big blue company. ROCCAT's head of marketing, Markus Frey, is excited for the community-building aspect of this opportunity, stating "Live events like this have such a positive impact on the local eSports scene, while at the same time reaching a global audience via live stream and social media coverage."
