ASUS boosts presence in Australia

This one more so for the aussie readers out there, ASUS have set up shop in australia with both a new headquarters and notebook service centre which has been launched in Silverwater, NSW. Full details within the official press release here.


Sydney, Australia, January 20 2005 – ASUSTeK Computer Inc (ASUS), a leading provider of high-quality IT solutions, has today inaugurated the opening of its Australian headquarters in Silverwater and the launch of the first ASUS notebook service centre.

The opening of the local office heralds the major importance the Australian market to ASUS. The Australian headquarters functions as the sales, marketing, technical and support arm for ASUS customers, dealers and distributors.

“The opening of the Australian headquarters is a significant milestone for ASUS” says Ted Chen, Director of ASUS Australia. “It signals the increased commitment and we can provide to our distributors and channel partners and providing immense support to the Australian consumers.”
