'Avengers' director slams 'Jurassic World' sexism

Rival summer blockbusters play the sexism card

Earlier this week, Universal studios premiered the first full clip from 'Jurassic World' online, but strangely enough the scene chosen didn't feature any dinosaurs, nor action - instead focussing on some banter between Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's characters.

Now the clip has prompted Joss Whedon, the director of 'The Avengers' and this summer's rival blockbuster 'Age of Ultron' to label it as "70's era sexist".

So what do you make of the clip? Light hearted banter, or material for the feminista to point to as proof of the prevalence of Hollywood sexism? Make up your own mind below.

'Jurassic World' hits hits in 3D, 2D and IMAX screens worldwide from June 12.
