Made on a paltry production budget of just $40 million, the recently released adaptation of EL James 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has gone against the grain of damning critical reviews and piqued the curiosity of cinema goers, grossing well over half a billion dollars at the international box office. As a special treat for fans who crave even more BDSM kink, Universal will release an extended cut of the film on Blu-ray, along with an alternate ending.

Released on May 1st in the United States and on May 21st in Australia, the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Blu-ray will feature both the newly completed unrated cut and the original theatrical version, along with the theatrical cut and over two hours of additional features including an alternate ending, interviews, behind the scenes features and music videos.

Despite the massive success of the film which has smashed expectations, the studio is moving slowly with plans for the second installment which is likely to be released in 2017, with stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson already signed to reprise their roles.
