Separate events see Johnny Depp injured and knife-wielding 'pirate' break into Queensland set.

Trouble is brewing on the Queensland set of the fifth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film, as separate events cause havoc with production.

Yesterday, a knife wielding man dressed as a pirate broke into the set and threatened a security guard working on production before fleeing into surrounding bushland. Initially, security thought the man in a complete pirate costume (complete with shoulder parrot) was an extra on production, but has since been confirmed he was not. The man was later caught and arrested.

Now, its also been revealed that star Johnny Depp has left Australia just weeks into production to return to the United States to have surgery on his hand following an incident on set last weekend. No significant delays are expected as a result, as production can continue with scenes not featuring Depp.
