Published: 19th October 2004 @ 9:28 PM
Author: Steve Dougherty

As most of you are probably aware by now, just several hours ago AMD officially released their new fraternal twins, the Athlon 64 4000+ and FX-55 processors. Raising the bar a notch higher, the 4000+ is essentially that of the previous FX-53 with it's 1mb of L2 cache and a core speed of 2.4GHz. Whilst we see the FX-55 get a move up to a whopping 2.6GHz. For press release details, you can get to them over at AMD's website here. As for the hoard of reviews and what not, you can clearly see in the below listing that all the usual bunch of sites (and then some) have shown us what sort of performance we can expect with these new top-end chips.
