- Abit reveals Fatal1ty AA8

After ABIT announcing late last week that they would soon start on a new line of enthusiast motherboards and VGA cards under the "Fatal1ty" name (the tag used by one of the most well known and respected gamers throughout the world), we see the first product to emerge under this new tag, none other than ABit's flagship LGA775 board. the AA8. DigiTimes have exclusive info and supporting images on the tweaked Fatal1ty AA8 and it looks to be one hell of a refined red beast. An interview with ABIT's director of marketing "Scott Thirlwell" spreads the word that the board will enter mass production this coming friday, with a retail store eta around the end of the month.

For the development of the Fatal1ty AA8, the real driving force behind the board was Johnathan ‘Fatal1ty’ Wendel, according to Thirlwell. Fatal1ty is touted as the world’s top professional gamer, with his latest victory at the first DOOM3 Championship held during ID Software’s Quakecon in August. Fatal1ty and his team have worked with Abit’s engineers in Taiwan and at the company’s factory in China.
