- ASUS AX800XT/2DT PCI-Express

The lucky Hexus folks have gotten their hands on ASUS's AX800XT/2DT video card based on ATI's R423 core. With a very small PCB design, this 'little monster' card would work just lovely in a compact SFF system or something of the like, and being ASUS it comes with some rather nifty and appealing features too. A well worthwhile consideration if you're aiming to pair up your new PCIe equipped motherboard with a top of the line card.

The ASUS AX800XT/2DT package has a number of positive features going for it. The card is small, well-built, quiet, and looks damn good. The very fact that you can pop it into a small PCIe-based system is a real bonus. ATI/ASUS also use a native PCI-Express design with no bridge chip in between. The benefits of the faster PCIe link won't manifest themselves until applications require massive streaming from motherboard to GPU (and vice-versa), but it's nice to know that architectural bottlenecks aren't going to hold up progress.

- PCStats Weekend Reviews Roundup

The guys over at PCStats have kept themselves occupied throughout the weekend as they get three reviews up. First they check out Antec's popular TruePower 330W Power Supply, followed by a look at Soltek's EQ340IM QBiC SFF PC which makes use of the trusty i865G chipset. Last of all, they get their hands on another pair of Ultra Platinum PC3200 Memory modules from GeIL and put them through the paces.
