- 10 ATX Cases Reviewed

Spodes Abode have been busy recently with a roundup of 10 very different ATX cases, ranging from several Beantech and Silverstone models through to Lian Li's 6070A, TT's Tsunami Dream and a few more for good measure. Well worth checking out if you're in the market for a new case anytime soon.

We have taken it upon ourselves to look at a selection of ten cases currently on the market. These are all of the high quality mid tower variety, roughly in the £75 to £150 price range. A case with an asterisk next to its name denotes one that has won an award.

As with anything else, trends in computer cases come and go. As the whole modding scene took off, we saw beige tin cans replaced with hulking great black boxes which were judged solely on the number of cooling fans they could accommodate. Lian Li started the craze for all things aluminium and the last couple of years have seen the rise of cheap pre-modded cases in every garish colour imaginable.

- OCZ Announces Platinum PC-3700 with 2-3-3 timings

As the week has come almost to a close, OCZ have announced a new addition to their DDR memory lineup, the EL DDR PC-3700 Platinum Series modules which are capable of 2-3-3-8 timings at 2.8 volts. You can get to the product page here, and the press info here folks.

"Building on our success with low latency memory, OCZ now has the fastest CAS 2 memory available on the market," said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "In recent months, users would have to choose between having a low CAS latency but also corresponding low operating frequency, or a high CAS latency, with a higher operating frequency. Neither option was especially attractive. Now users can have the best of both worlds: Low CAS latency and a high operating frequency."
