- VIA Gets Geared for Gaming with Two Exciting Events in the UK

VIA Technologies have geared up for their gaming tour to London, England which kicks off today with events to take place at both ECTS and Leicester Square. They'll be showcasing some of their latest top of the line gaming solutions on offer at ECTS 2004, and tomorrow also plan to host a Fatal1ty shootout which gives people the opportunity to go up against Jonathan “Fatal1ty” Wendell for the chance of some great cash and/or other prizes. On the 5th they move across to Leicester Square as a part of ABit's Hardware Festival, followed by a one hour presentation featuring several contests and also an overclocking seminar. Sounds all pretty swish to me. if you're in the general area, you'd be silly to miss out on all the action folks. Further details in VIA's official announcement.

At both events, VIA will be highlighting the K8T800 Pro performance chipset, combining amazing performance on the AMD64 platform with a blistering 1GHz Hyper-Transport chipset to processor interconnect, with support for VIA Vinyl Audio, native Serial ATA, multi-configuration V-RAID, as well as superior overclocking features, fitting perfectly with the requirements of gamers who demand only the best.

“VIA is proud to be taking part at ECTS 2004 and the ABIT Hardware Festival, which will focus attention on our Geared for Gaming products that clearly step up to the challenge of the growing number of new games being released that demand higher performance PC hardware,” commented Richard Brown, Associate Vice President of Marketing, VIA Technologies, Inc. “We are also very excited to be involved at these events with Fatal1ty, whose shootouts are incredible to watch and certainly not to be missed.”
