Just yesterday we reported on LG electronics' brave move to dedicate a whole business division to OLED development, marking themselves as a major player in this field. Less than 12 hours later, KTC have announced their launch of a brand new OLED TV - The 55L83F.
Self-described as "a perfect combination of advanced technology and sophisticated quality, KTC's curved OLED TV 55L83F is the first curved TV launched to the market in China". Claimed to be only 8mm in thickness and much lighter than your traditional LCD monitor, so far it looks like a winner.
KTC claims that it weighs one sixth of a LCD TV, claiming that the curved screen provided will give users the perfect viewing experience. Coupled with a built-in octa-core processor supporting their incorporated operating system, this TV aims to remove the pain of laggy menus as seen in many LCD TV options. It's also claimed that you'll be able to play games at 60 FPS on this new product, with users said to experience a snappy 0.001ms response time - also helpful for viewing live sports. There hasn't been a price listed yet for this 55" TV offering, but expect it to not be cheap.
