- ATI Launches New RADEON 9250

Here's some very interesting news, particularly for the budget conscious buyer looking to shift to a more current entry level 3D card without forking out hundreds of bucks. ATI have today introduced a newcomer to their Radeon line of products, the 9250. Although only a DirectX 8.1 card, it will be offered with up to 256mb of DDR memory, multi monitor support, TV-Out, and indefinitely a very attractive price tag too. ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today announced that it is launching RADEON™ 9250 through its worldwide Add-in-Board partners. The RADEON™ 9250 provides the perfect balance of advanced 3D graphics, an enhanced multimedia experience and multi-monitor support, at a great price point.

 

End users and corp. users would be excited to see ATI bring its RADEON9250 to the world. RADEON9250 is the industry's first graphics processor, with DX8.1 support, 4 pixel shader pipeline architecture and up to 256MB of DDR memory for fast action graphics. RADEON9250 incorporates FULLSTREAM and SMOOTHVISION technologies, delivering superior image quality for a variety of digital applications such as viewing digital photos, streaming video and gaming. RADEON9250 also offers flexible support for multi-display configurations including VGA, DVI and TV out.

 


- EPoX Announce EP-5EGA+/EP-5EPA+ on Intel 915

Two new motherboards have been unveiled from EPoX today, the EP-5EGA+ and EP-5EPA+ which utilize Intel's latest 915G and 915P chipsets respectively. The usual array of feature-rich goodness is seen across both packages such as PCI-E x1/x16 slots, Gigabit LAN, MATRIX RAID technology, and in the case of the EP-5EGA+, Intel's Media Accelerator 900.
