- Transcend's Productive Week

Closing in on the weekend, Transcend have forwarded us a bunch of news relating to several products they've now officially announced. Starting with their JetFlash MP3 Player which includes all the features you'd expect to see on a FlashMP3 player of today such as an FM Radio, voice recording, and optional capacity ranging from 128MB to 1GB in sixe. More on that within the supporting PR here.

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a world leader in flash memory devices, introduces the brand new JetFlashTM MP3 featuring a new streamlined design with a blue backlight LCD panel display and penti-directional joystick. The new JetFlashTM MP3 supports Hi-Speed USB2.0 connections with a read and write speed of up to 3.2 and 2.8MB/sec, respectively. Transcend's JetFlashTM MP3 is available in capacities of 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB. Transcend's latest JetFlash™ MP3 is a step above the usual MP3 player.

Next up, Transcend's compact StoreJet 2.5" HDD which boasts a storage capacity of either 40 or 80GB, also giving you the option to purchase as an empty unit so you can attach your own 2.5" drive. Also mentioned are new security and backup features, USB2.0 connectivity, and is powered directly from a dedicated second USB cable so you dont have to carry a chunky power brick around. Nifty! More on this one in the PR here.

Transcend Information Inc. (Transcend) has updated their high capacity StoreJet 2.5" portable hard drive with new security and backup features. The 2.5" portable hard drive is an ideal, cost-effective, external storage solution for any desktop or notebook computer with a USB port.

Finally, the new and excessively large "4GB High Capacity Ultra Performance 45X CompactFlash Card" from Transcend also gets brought to our attention today, making it the highest capacity CF card available to date. More on that one here.

With high-resolution digital cameras and other multimedia appliances pushing the need for higher capacity flash memory cards, Transcend has proudly stepped up to the challenge. Transcend Information, Inc., a world leader in flash memory cards, has increased the capacity of their Ultra Performance 45X CompactFlash (CF) Cards to an eye-popping 4 gigabytes (GB), the highest capacity of any CF card in the world.
