Daily News Round #1

- The doors are opening for Alderwood & Grantsdale!

As mentioned recently, Intel plan to announce their Alderwood and Grantsdale chipsets today, officially now known as 925 and 915. These new chipsets bring a whole host of fresh goodies, including DDR2 memory support, a PCI Express graphics and system bus, a new Intel processor socket, and much much more. Undoubtedly there will be a stack of sites around the globe ready to put their articles and reviews up the second the NDA expires, and you can be sure i'm waiting on standby for when it occurs, ready to collate all the links and update this section accordingly. In the meantime whilst you wait, the folks at PC Perspective already have their article up for us, previewing whats to be expected from the new technologies, mainly in terms of performance with regard to DDR2 and PCIe.

Unfortunately, our review isn't ready to go live due to a slight problem with a delayed PCI Express graphics card sample. Our sincere apologies, we will endeavour to have it finalised by early next week.
