- New Patch for PCMark™04

Futuremark have forwarded a press release today letting everyone know of their latest patch for the PCMark™04 suite, build 1.2.0. Scores won't differ with the implementation of the new patch, it was released to allow detection of newer video cards and CPU's along with a bunch of fixes for reported and reproduced bugs. Both a 2.8mb patch as well as a full updated 36mb download of PCMark04 can be obtained over at Futuremark's official mirrors page. For those interested, the press release can be read here.

 


Saratoga, California USA - May 5, 2004 - Futuremark® Corporation announced today the immediate availability of a software patch to its popular PCMark™04 benchmark software. PCMark04 is a state-of-the-art benchmarking tool and has been widely adopted; over 2 million copies have been distributed since launched in November 2003.

 

Available immediately, this free downloadable software patch fixes all reported and reproduced bugs and adds detection for all the latest CPUs and video display cards. The patch will not affect the benchmark score.

 


- GeCube introduces X800PRO256

GeCube are next up to announce their "X800PRO256" graphics card built on ATI's latest X800 (R420) core. You can take a look at the attached PR here.
