- Soldering - A How To Guide

Hearing of the benefits to volt modding your video card has you tempted but your soldering skills lack whats required? Perhaps this fresh guide from the guys over at Extreme Overclocking on how to solder like an expert will make you feel a little more at ease with the task.

When soldering you have to keep in mind one thing: You need heat. Keeping the tip of the iron clean all the time, is the key for easy heat transfer from the iron to the parts that will be connected. Heat transfer is very important, since you don't actually melt the solder itself with the iron. You heat up the parts and then you use that heat to melt the solder. So, let's get down to business.

- SoundBlaster Wireless Music

Nordic have a new article up for us today. They check out a very interesting and unique product from Creative called the "Soundblaster Wireless Music". It uses W-LAN capabilities to transfer mp3s to a player in the reciever which then outputs without any degradation in sound quality. A remote which sends out a radio signal means you can use it from any location in the house. There's a few small drawbacks but this is a very new type of product, and being such a useful form of technology, i'm sure we'll see more refined products like it down the track.

Sound Blaster Wireless Music doesn't send the music in realtime but uses available WLAN-technology to wirelessly transfer a sound file to an MP3-player in the receiver that then plays the music without any deteriorated quality. In short, it's a wireless network with an MP3-player in it, that together with the server software becomes a concept.
