Ubisoft's Watch Dogs and Nintendo's Mario Kart 8 continued their dominance of the sales charts in June, with Watch Dogs ranked No. 1 and Mario Kart 8 slotting in at No. 2, according to the NPD Group research firm. Watch Dogs is available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and 4, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Xbox One game consoles and the PC, while Mario Kart 8 is available for the Wii U only.
Mario Kart 8 sold 470,000 units in June, with total game sales reaching 885,000 since its release date on May 30. Minecraft console version was No. 3, EA Sports UFC and FIFA 14 were also in the top five, trailing behind the great success of Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8.
Xbox One sales have doubled since Microsoft dropped the console's price to $399, but the PlayStation 4 still outsold its competitor.
