- Workstation GPU Comparison Guide

There's a fresh guide up on RojakPot which compares the specifications of all the ATI/nVidia/Matrox workstation based GPU's to have hit the market in recent years, covering obsolete cards such as ATI's original FireGL Pro through to all the highest-end current workstation cards like nVidia's Quadro FX 3000G, nothing mentioned on the recently announced Quadro FX 4000, but i'm sure they'll add the specs for it in an update soon. On that note, they've also updated their Desktop GPU Comparison Guide with specs on ATI's Radeon X800 SE, X800 Pro, X800 XT and X800 XT PCIe GPUs. I'm sure this would be a useful reference for many of you.

These days, there are so many graphics card models that it has become quite impossible to keep up with the different configurations. Therefore, we decided to compile this guide to provide an easy reference for those who are interested in comparing the specifications of the various workstation GPUs in the market as well as those already obsolescent or obsolete.

- Samsung's 173P 17" LCD Display

Time to throw out that bulky old CRT for a l33t new LCD monitor? The guys over at ModSynergy check out Samsung's 173P which seems to offer the goods, providing both DVI and analogue inputs. Shame about the reported notorious ghosting issues though, the 25ms response time inevitably being the culprit of that. Still looks to be a good solid product nonetheless.

LCD flat panel displays are more affordable than ever. They are getting better as standards are raised and this about the time when you should be shopping for one. Samsung is one of those companies producing excellent displays, such as the 173MP, which we reviewed some time ago. Today I will be looking at the Samsung 173MP's younger sibling, the Samsung 173P. The Samsung 173P arrived in the usual cardboard box with Styrofoam protection but was a bit banged up. The box seems a bit on the small side, though it weighs more than the 173MP at 18 pounds.
