- Shuttle SB75G2 and ST62K Zen

Hexus have posted an article earlier today which covers two of Shuttle's XPC's. They look at both the SB75G2 i875 based XPC and the ST62K Zen which utilizes ATI Radeon's 9100IGP (and unfortunately lacks a residing AGP port). Both XPC's are obviously aimed at different sectors of the marketplace.

Shuttle's XPC small form factor system line seems to expanding at an exponential rate. Think of a chipset and the chances are that Shuttle has a cube to match. We've been through our fair share of cubes for AMD's S462 and S754 processors, and we've also seen a multitude of disarmingly similar Intel S478 XPCs. There's been a few revisions with Springdale-based motherboards, both with onboard video and without. What we've been waiting for, however, is an i875P-based cube, with all the performance and features trimmings associated with Intel's top-of-the-line S478 chipset. The tasty ICH5R, possible CSA Gigabit Ethernet, and low-latency Northbridge access would make it the cube to have if Pentium 4 performance was the key aim. Shuttle has duly obliged with the SB75G2. We say this often, but could this really be the cube to own.

Wait, there's more!. We're also taking a look at Shuttle's newest XPC design philosophy. The 'Zen' promises to be smaller, sexier, and smarter than before. ATI's Radeon 9100 IGP is tasked with chipset duties. Shuttle's been brave enough to move the PSU out from the chassis and drop the AGP slot. Bravery or foolishness. Let's get the bottom of this interesting pair of cubes.
