- nVidia introduces PCI-Express range of GPUs!

More exciting news for today, nVidia has a fresh press release out unveiling their full line of upcoming PCI-Express GPU cards, taking full advantage of the extra bandwidth and features that the new I/O connection delivers. The cards will appropriately go under the name of "GeForce PCX", and starts with a PCI Express version of the 5950 Ultra, however what really stood out was the addition of a new card, the "GeForce PCX 4300", this one I presume being based off nVidia's highly successful line of GeForce4 ti/mx gpus? "The PCI Express transition is going to be an exciting time for the PC industry," stated Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO at NVIDIA. "By aligning ourselves closely with Intel and helping define this new specification, we were able to engineer an innovative protocol engine, in HSI, that delivers the full-PCI Express feature set without any compromises. HSI and PCI Express will enable a new level of performance for high bandwidth applications like graphics and networking."

In addition, last week in Taipei, Taiwan, NVIDIA validated its family of GeForce PCX products with the industry's top motherboard, chipset, and BIOS vendors. NVIDIA has already shipped more than 1,000 PCI Express boards to customers and partners.

- Transcend's Radeon 9600 XT

We've recieved word from Transcend today announcing the release of their 9600XT graphics card, looks to be another identical port from ATI's reference design. The full scoop in the official PR here.
