- PCI Express 16x Benchmarks

While Intel won't release the official PCI Express specifications to the public until next month at IDF in San Francisco, a Chinese website has posted benchmarks of GeForce FX 5200 and Radeon 9600 XT PCI Express enabled graphics cards, along with a bunch of photos.

 

 


- Prescott 3.2GHz compared to Northwood 3.2GHz

Fuad Abazovic over at the INQ has managed to benchmark a shiny new Intel Prescott 3.2GHz against a Northwood 3.2GHz which still is able to shine just as well as the new Prescott according to the numbers written on the website.

 

Both CPUs are close to each other as will see below, but in Comanche and Quake 3, the old Northwood core has a significant lead. Northwood renders faster while Prescott is faster in Professional OpenGL applications.
