Midday Roundup

Published: 7th January 2004 @ 2:23 PM
Author: Thomas Simmons

Well, I'm back yet again (after even more computer troubles). Before I jump into the news, I'd like to let ya'll(yes, I'm Texan) know that I will be posting a Serial ATA article in the coming days as well as a few articles and columns to pique ya'll's interests in upcoming technologies and the open source world, which I am a strong advocate of.

Company News

- ABIT and NVIDIA split @ The Inquirer
- Transmeta first with nForce 3 250 Chipset @ The Inquirer
- If you are like me and love NewEgg, read into their history a little here @ The AnandTech Forums

Processors

- Getting Dirty with HyperThreading @ 2CPU, my Favorite Site

Software Related

- Ideas to make the GNOME/GTK+ File Selector more Usable @ OSNews
- Warcraft Fans, get ready, World of Warcraft Open Beta Signups this month @ GameSpot

There isn't a whole lot of news right now. At least, it's not being sent to me. Drop a line to tsimmons(at)tweaktown.com to get your news posted during the North American hours. ;) Off to get finished on the Serial ATA article for ya'lls enjoyment.
