- AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Out & About

As you would have noticed from this morning's roundup, there's been a flood of news and reviews on todays release of the 64bit 3400+ processor by AMD, operating at 2.2ghz. Continuing the consistant flow of news on this monster chip, you can head over to CPUPerformance, Hot Hardware, AllAMD, Lost Circuits, CPU 3D, Tom's Hardware, and Nordic Hardware. Once again, the link to the official press release from AMD can be read over here.

AMD also announced the AMD Athlon 64 processor 3400+ for desktop PCs and desktop-replacement notebooks. The processor will be supported by HP's configure-to-order desktop PC line in early 2004. The AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ began appearing in configure-to-order Compaq Presario 8000Z desktop PCs in November and as an option in configure-to-order HP Pavilion a450e desktop PCs in December. Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Fujitsu Ltd. will have desktop systems available immediately.

"The AMD Athlon 64 processor puts great performance in our consumer systems," said Peter Esser, executive vice president, Volume Products at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. "This processor helps preserve our customers' software investment by efficiently running existing applications while allowing them to transition to 64-bit computing at their own pace."

The latest celebration of the Thermaltake's Xaser V Series computer chassis, Damier & Wingo, made its debut at a VIP dinner party during ComputexTaiwan 2003. Xaser V is all-new and built on the unique blend of style and practicality seen in the production models of the successful Xaser III Series chassis. "Xaser V redefines both the look and the interior functionality of a traditional computer chassis, with ample control and versatility for the most extreme gamers or server application. You can find every imaginable functions available today on the latest Xaser V - Damier & Wingo" said Kenny Lin, President for Thermaltake Technology. For the difference request, we create Xaser V Damier series for the modern life and XaserV WinGo for the gamer winner.
