- DFI LanParty NF2 at 260MHz FSB!

I have just stumbled across what I would believe to be a world record in terms of the highest achieved FSB on an nForce2 platform. What you see below was done with DFI's praised NFII Ultra B. The screenie was accompanied with a post over at OCWorkbench's DFI forums in a thread involving people's success with the overclocking of these boards. What I find the most amazing thing to be isn't the obliterating 260mhz sync'd FSB, but the "PC-3200" ram used for the job. Gah!

 

 


- NVIDIA nForce2 IGP Gains 400MHz FSB Support

 

Anton over at Xbit Labs informs us that ASUSTeK have become the first to release an nForce2 IGP board which officially supports the more recent AthlonXP chips running at 400mhz FSB.

 

Earlier NVIDIA nForce2 IGP with integrated GeForce4 MX graphics only supported 333MHz system bus and mainboard in the IGP version of the fastest currently available Athlon XP chipset were only capable of working with appropriate processors. Advanced Micro Devices even had to develop a 333MHz version of the Athlon XP 3200+ chip for HP, who wanted to utilise the nForce2 IGP.
