- Get To Know: Overclocking
Our friends over at Hardware Hell have written up a guide explaining the things to look out for when overclocking your rig, it's particularly of value to those of you who haven't been game enough to overclock just yet.
If you've ever had a peak at the BIOS settings on your motherboard you may have seen things such as FSB Frequency, Clock Ratio, Memory Frequency, etc. Different BIOS's and chipsets use different naming schemes for what is generally a very similar set of settings. Older boards don't have these options at all, but we won't be going over jumper settings for the old EG motherboard in the closet. Today we will be looking at ways to increase clock speed and RAM latency past the manufactures "recommended" speeds while still keeping your system as stable as possible.
- Overclocking Database
