Minecraft creeps over 14 million units for the PC so far

Minecraft has sold over 14 million copies on the PC and Mac, thanks to Markus "Notch" Persson's latest update on Twitter, where he said:

Considering the alpha of Minecraft was released back in May 2009, it has taken close to five years to reach this point. The full version of Minecraft launched in November 2011, and as of August 2012, over 17 million copies of the game were sold.
