- First to break 30k in 3DMark2001SE

OCPainter is reknowned for being able to push hardware to extremes way beyond almost anyone else on the planet, with his legendary overclocking skills he has just beaten FUGGER's P4-EE system of which was previously labelled as the "Worlds Fastest Desktop Computer" producing an incredible result of 30,014 3D Marks in the old (but far from dying) 3DMark 2001. This was achieved with an insanely overclocked AMD FX-51 rig.

Here is the compare link for you to take a look at. There is also a forum thread discussing his achievement over at Xtreme Forums.

- ATI Catalyst Driver Comparison 3.x

Madshrimps have gathered up all the ATI Catalyst drivers ranging from the 3.4's through to the latest 3.9's. They've then proceeded to run them through an extensive series of benchmarking tests. Logically concluding, the latest driver set is indeed the most stable and bug free available for general use.

A lot of people are using Videocards powered by an ATI-chip. Most of them are using the latest drivers, some of them are using some older ones because they believe they will get better performance out of them.

To test which driver is the most performant, I took every Catalyst Driver from the 3.4 to 3.9 through some 180 benchmarks run in total, using different applications and games, I hope you'll find this roundup usefull!
