SteelSeries working with Tobii on eye-tracking hardware

Eye-tracking hardware is on its way, with SteelSeries partnering up with Tobii

| Wearable Computing News | Posted: Jan 5, 2014 5:01 am

It looks like another "future of gaming" is about to be unveiled, with SteelSeries teaming up with Tobii on some impressive eye-tracking technology, which also makes the AI enemies in a game harder.

With the technology tracking your eye, Tobii describes it as "passive gaze triggers" that would let you pick up an in-game item, or begin talking to a character in the game. These actions normally require a button press. Tobii has the hardware up for pre-order, with EyeX Engine dev kit available for $95.
