VIA C3 733 Processor Review

When VIA bought out the Cyrix company, there were a lot of questions about what would happen. Acid Hardware takes a look at their latest offering; namely the VIA C3 733 Processor. here's a snip:

 

"As the C3 needs a 133MHz bus for newer chips, you should also make sure your motherboard supports it. Intel BX-based boards might not run the C3, mainly due to the fact they are moving to the 133MHz bus, where the BX is officially only rated up to 100MHz bus. Another problem that may arise is that the BIOS may not support it, but this can usually be fixed with a BIOS upgrade from the manufacturer's website."
