- Ten ATX Power Supplies Compared

The folks over at AMDMB have slowly been rounding up a bunch of high-end PSU's within the 400 to 550w range in preparation for a head-to-head comparison. It was impossible to come out with a clear winner as all PSU's did an excellent job.

 

 

We evaluated each power supply unit (PSU) on features and performance. A full range of equipment was used to test each PSU under controlled load conditions. In addition to measuring the power going in and coming out we looked at voltage regulation, electrical noise (AC ripple), airflow, sound level, efficiency and cost.
