- Cooler Master's "WaveMaster" now in black

Cooler Master's very popular Wave Master case has just undergone a paint job, now available in "mirror black". More over at Cooler Master's website.

Wave Master is now available in black! Recently Wave Master was selected as Maximum PC magazine's "Dream Machine 2003" (September 2003). The machine was also recommended as the machine of the year by an article titled "Give My PC Life" in the technical column of the Fortune magazine.

Like the previous silver edition, Wave Master Black features an impressively cool and sleek design. The machine also inherits the premium heat dissipation design (two fans in the front, one on the back, plus one on the top-could be swapped with the USB module) from the aluminum Cooler Master series. The other good news is that Wave Master has successfully passed the 10000-rpm system test of SATA, a well-known hard disk manufacturer.

In addition, Wave Master has the advantage of the best ever frame and materials. Made of aluminum alloy, the high strength case frame is constructed with 2mm plates. Such a design perfectly combines the solidest aluminum case with the most outstanding frame.

The most distinctive feature of Wave Master Black is its stylish appearance. The mirage black treatment gives the machine an elegant gloss finish while the low-key black exterior emphasizes Wave Master's unique character and fine taste.

- Nforce 2 400 Ultra With MCPS 1000 On The Way!

The Inquirer speculates that there will continue to be further development of K7 boards utilizing the nforce2 ultra chipset for some time yet. Future additions to the nforce2 lineup will be implemented with nVidia's new MCPS 1000 southbridge.

Just like VIA, Nvidia wants to see its Nforce 2 Ultra chipset roll along in 2004 since Socket A will still have a big market share next year. Nvidia will not exactly change its complete K7 solution so will instead change just the south bridge and offer some more features inside.

The south bridge will get S1000 as a suffix to its SPP name, and this chipset will feature a Serial ATA controller and a Gigabit LAN controller, making it a little bit more advanced then the currently shipping 8237 from Via.
