- Antec Redefines High-Performance Computing

We've just recieved word that Antec have raised the bar for high-performance PC cases with their launch of the P160, the first case in the company's new "Performance One" series of enclosures. They also state that their new Quiet Computing(tm) technology helps to reduce noise by up to 80%!

P160 is a super mid-tower case, measuring 20.3"(H) x 8.1"(W) x 19.7"(D). Constructed out of 1.2mm aluminium for increased sturdiness, the case is anodised inside and out so it won't lose its lustre. It features a swivelling front control panel for easy access to two USB 2.0 connectors, one IEEE 1394 connector and two audio jacks. The case includes colour-coordinated CD-ROM and floppy bay drive covers, chrome front vents and blue front accent lights.

The case also comes with a removable motherboard tray, allowing easy installation and upgrading, ten drive bays for expandability and a built-in washable air filter. Its Quiet Computing features include vibration-dampening mounts for hard drives and specially engineered low-speed 120mm fans. P160 is compatible with any ATX12V power supply.

"Today's high-performance PC users are more demanding than ever. They still want all the latest technologies. However, they now also require features which used to be considered extras, such as stylish design and low-noise capability," said Scott Richards, Antec vice president of sales and marketing. "To fulfil these needs, we were able to leverage our years of expertise in high-performance case design and innovative Quiet Computing technology to develop Performance One." Antec's P160 is now available at major retailers, e-tailers and distributors, and comes with the company's AQ3 three-year warranty.
