For years, ASUS has been one of the most arduous supporters of the nVidia line of graphics processors, the importance riding on the bangs of being the world's number one manufacturer of graphics adapters. Not surprisingly, therefore, the announcement of ASUS changing camps to feature a full line of ATI cards caused a rather big splash in the graphics world with the ramifications including the forecasting of the end of the nVidia dominance. Suffice it to say that hindsight has always 20:20 vision but it also takes an analyst to claim that it is new insights.
