- Intel Pentium 4 EE

Today Intel announced that it had started shipping its Extreme Edition version of the Pentium 4 processor to compete in the gaming and enthusiast CPU market which AMD had hoped to dominate for at least 6 months with their Athlon 64 CPU. The processors will retail for around one grand of US dollars - we guess - as in one thousand unit quantities, the processor costs $925 US.

First discussed at the Fall 2003 Intel Developer Forum, the Intel Pentium 4 processor Extreme Edition supporting HT Technology provides gamers and power users with a premium computing experience. In addition, the processor helps deliver enhanced graphics - a key factor for more realistic game play - through faster frame rates and higher-level detail rendering.

- New DFI LANPARTY motherboards

Our friends from DFI have started shipping their new range of LANPARTY B motherboards improving on the success of their previous range of enthusiasts based motherboards which feature a bunch of nice things us kind of people like, such as CMOS Reloaded.

Hayward, CA (November 4, 2003) - DFI, a worldwide leader in mainstream and performance desktop motherboard solutions, today launched its latest revisions to the unique LANParty line of motherboards - LANParty NFII Ultra B and LANParty PRO875B. The new LANParty NFII Ultra B for the AMD® platform combines popular features from the previous version while incorporating many performance integrations making it a LAN gamer's dream motherboard. The new LANParty PRO875B for the Intel® platform supports the latest Intel Pentium® 4 3.20 GHz processor Extreme Edition and the CMOS Reloaded technology to deliver one unmatchable gaming platform.
