Star Citizen is going to be the next benchmark in PC graphics

The CryEngine 3-powered Star Citizen looks absolutely gorgeous, too bad it's not coming out for quite some time

I've seen Star Citizen like most of you have, through a YouTube video or screenshots, but seeing it in person changed my mind about the Chris Roberts made game. I saw it in person, at 4K courtesy of NVIDIA's Editors' Day 2013 in Montreal, Canada and by gosh, did it look absolutely sublime.

Anyway, you'll want to get your retinas connected to the video above, and prepare your credit cards. This game is going to seriously make any PC sweat, with Roberts himself confirming to NVIDIA, who talked to me in Canada, that this game is going to be pushed so hard on PC, that you'll be forced to upgrade. We haven't had a game like this for quite some time now thanks to the transition to console development, but Roberts is pushing this on PC.

We're talking tech like 4K and above being supported, Oculus VR's Rift headset, multi-GPU systems, and more. I'm incredibly excited, and I hope you are, too.
