- Welcome Force Ware to the world!

Truly, I am scouting for non-nVidia news but today I suspect it will be dominated by it. Anyway continuing on, along with the introduction of nVidia's NV36 and NV38 graphics processors today, the company has also introduced their newest drivers which are being called Force Ware these days and they come in at version 52.16. Grab them from nVidia, here.

Release Highlights:

- Enhanced image quality for both anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing
- New nView 3.0 Multi-Display Setup Wizard-to easily configure your multi-display settings
- nView Grid lines- to section off the display to help organize your various Windows
- Customized user profiles-to save display settings and image quality settings on a per application/game basis
- A new user friendly interface
- Microsoft® DirectX® and OpenGL® support
- Support for GeForce 5700, GeForce FX 5700 Ultra, and GeForce FX 5950
- For a complete list of compatibility fixes please consult the v52.16 Release Notes

- ATI to reign on nVidia's parade?

Paul over at The INQ seems pretty certain when he says ATI will make an announcement tomorrow regarding Half Life 2 - most likely the release date, we hope. You can tell its business as usual as ATI try to bust in and reign on nVidia's full-swinging NV36 and NV38 parade which has only just begun.

AN OFFICIAL from ATi Technologies has exclusively advised the INQUIRER that the company is confident of being in a position to finally make an announcement regarding Half-Life 2 tomorrow (Thursday 24th October).
