Nexus 5 gets Bluetooth 4.0 certified ahead of next weeks launch

Bluetooth 4.0 certification arrives just in time for Google to launch the new Nexus 5 next week (NASDAQ:GOOG)

Google's Nexus 5 has cleared what could be the final hurdle before its launch next week. Techradar is reporting that the next-gen flagship from Google has passed Bluetooth 4.0 certification. Many industry analyst are expect the Nexus 5 to launch next week on October 15th at its Launchpad Developer event.

The Nexus 5 is said to feature a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 8000 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 5-inch full HD display. An 8-megapixel rear camera. The phone will be manufactured by LG and it is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat and will upgrade to Android 5.0 sometime next year.
