RumorTT: Samsung working on waterproof, dust-resistant Galaxy S5

RumorTT: Samsung to release Galaxy S5 and a newer Note 3 that are waterproof and dust-resistant (KRX:005930, NASDAQ:GOOG)

We know that Samsung is working on the Galaxy S5, which should be built from better materials, but what about it being waterproof and dust-resistant? Yeah, that would be quite a nice thing to have.

Well, according to Korean-based Electronic Times, who has reported that Samsung is looking into bringing back its Active brand for both the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 3. The public reaction to waterproof phones, such as the Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra from Sony, has pushed Samsung into thinking about a new line of phones that are better protected from the environment.

We don't know if this will actually happen, but I think Samsung will go down this path. Any ammunition it can use against the iPhone, such as having the ability to brag that its devices are waterproof and dust-resistant, would be great.
