Newly leaked Logitech Controller could turn iPhone into a PS Vita

A new leak gives us the first glimpse of Logitech's new game controller designed around the iPhone (NASDAQ:AAPL, NASDAQ:LOGI)

A new leak has popped up from our favorite leakster, @evleaks. This time he is unveiling what is said to be an upcoming controller from Logitech that basically turns an iPhone into a handheld gaming pad. We saw something similar from Samsung when it first launched the Galaxy S4, but not much else has popped up since.

The controller is basically a shell with a D-Pad and some buttons that are able to control games on an iPhone which is installed into an orifice in the center of the device. While this could be really cool for games like Gears of Fur, I will not be truly impressed until I see an official port of Super Mario Brothers 1,2 and 3 to Android or iOS. Devices that turn your smartphone into a gaming console, have failed to gain the momentum needed to fully become a mainstay in the market. Hopefully, this new device from Logitech will manage to do just that.
