- Sound Blaster Audigy2 NX USB

 

This week Creative Labs announced their brand new Sound Blaster Audigy2 NX product. It is similar in theory to the Extigy, but brings all the popular features of the Audigy 2 in a USB powered device for notebook users and the like.

 

SYDNEY - September 30, 2003 - Creative Labs Pty Ltd, a local subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd, a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for PC users, today announced immediate shipment of the Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 NX bringing 7.1 surround sound to the notebook. Notebook and desktop users alike can now enjoy 24-bit ADVANCED HD™ audio quality of the award winning Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 line with this external solution that connects easily via USB. When combined with the Creative Inspire T7700 speaker system, this stylish and compact device adds a new level of cinematic 7.1 surround sound to any notebook and PC. The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX is priced at only AUD$299.00 inc GST and will be available at the end of October 2003.

- Chaintech IMO-Desk

 

Our good friends from Chaintech were showing off their brand new IMO-Desk product during Computex last week in Taiwan. It is in the exact shape of a notebook computer, but is actually a desktop PC - the smallest in the world. Chaintech will not be taking this product to retail, but their partners will be. Look out for it!
